MENISCUS REPLACEMENT
Meniscal Allograft
For patients who have had the entire meniscus excised and are starting to experience pain as a result, replacing the meniscus with a donor or cadaver meniscus is an option.
Who is a Candidate
- prior history of complete or near complete meniscectomy
- age < 50
- no diffuse arthritis
- no other joint instability or malalignment or must be corrected
- no inflammatory arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis
