Evan Lederman, M.D.

Dr. Lederman is an expert in arthroscopic and orthopedic surgery, and sports medicine. He earned his medical degree in 1989 at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, and completed residency in orthopedic surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin and affiliated hospitals in 1995. Dr. Lederman took fellowship training in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine at the prestigious American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Lederman has been practicing in Phoenix, Arizona, since 1996. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr Lederman has received specialty training with expertise in sports medicine, arthroscopic, minimally invasive arthroscopic assisted, and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Lederman offers specialized reconstructive procedures for difficult and complex shoulder problems including complex shoulder replacement surgery.

He has lectured and taught laboratory courses on various topics on sports medicine in shoulder and knee reconstructive surgery across the country. Dr. Lederman currently serves as the head team physician for the Phoenix Mercury WNBA Basketball Team. He has significant experience in treating athletes at all levels from professional to weekend warriors. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine, the American Sports Medicine Institute Fellowship Society, the Arizona Medical Association, the Maricopa County Medical Society and the Arizona Orthopedic Society. Dr Lederman currently serves as President of the Orthopedic Clinic Association, he is a board member of the Orthopedic Surgeon's Network of Arizona and serves on the Board of Trustees for Arrowhead Hospital. Dr. Lederman is from Los Angeles, California.
